Sabrina “Bri” Moore, MBA

Sabrina "Bri" Moore, has been a student, teacher, and is now an administrator in service of students and families of Oakland.

As a 21st century educator, she always has the future in mind- for both staff and students- when leading her school's teaching and learning. She began her teaching career here in Oakland Unified School District and continued here into leadership.

Ms. Moore started treading a path towards teaching following her attainment of a Masters of Business Administration. "And never looked back," she says.

Her orientation towards school leadership began during her time with Teach Tomorrow in Oakland as a facilitator of professional development and mentoring/coaching support. "I was encouraged as a new teacher to take risks, to try new approaches and to share my successes and failures with my colleagues," recalls Moore. "If offered an opportunity to learn something new as a teacher, or as a teacher leader, I never said no- I took all opportunities offered to me to continue to learn and grow."

When asked to describe her leadership style, Moore says she sees herself "as an instructional leader", building and developing the repertoire of instructional skills of teachers through professional learning. At MP Primary, our team work in Professional Learning Communities, to plan for, support and develop the academic and social emotional needs of our students. 

Sabrina believes that teaching and leading changes lives and with the best team possible strives for excellence in education. She is driven by the dream of seeing, "all of our students succeed in college, career and life!"
